Since its inception in 1980, Robert Marc is a New York-based premium eyewear brand, known for its signature hinge and for outfitting some of the city’s most iconic personalities. Over the last few years, the brand perception shifted, and was seen as too mature and exclusive. Our goal was to reposition Robert Marc as a lifestyle brand, appealing to a younger audience and establishing a clear and consistent brand image that goes beyond its founder. Rather, we chose to leverage the brand’s NYC roots to craft its new story
and transform Robert Marc into an icon of New York premium eyewear.
To reinvent the Robert Marc brand, we defined the brand’s core values: unstoppable NYC flair, optician expertise, and exceptional craftsmanship. From that point, we developed the brand’s identity system, naming and core messaging. We transformed Robert Marc to Robert Marc NYC, in recognition of the powerful and enduring influence the city holds over the brand’s vision. The agency created a wide variety of materials for the brand, including design and development of a custom website, business collateral, point of sales materials, trade booth experience, a campaign video, trade sales tools and the brand’s very first lifestyle campaign and photoshoot.

Fresh Island is a hip hop festival set on the Island of Pag in Croatia. The goal was to show their vibe and make it stand out. We rebuilt their identity based on three key insights that make this festival special: Destination. Atmosphere. Culture. After defining visual and verbal standards, we designed their website which is the central point of their business. Main idea was to stop selling tickets and start selling the experience. To present Fresh Island festival as a “hip hop paradise” with clean design and a fresh tone of voice which will resonate with hip hop fans across the globe. The result was stunning. First time in seven years, the Festival was sold out.

Updating an icon, Union Bank Plaza is a Class A office tower located in the heart of DTLA. With a renewed sense of purpose, Union Bank Plaza aims
to reposition itself as a welcoming campus-like locality offering a modern and vibrant environment that will attract tenants. Kilograph provided a comprehensive suite of services that included branding, brochure, website, still renderings, film, 360 degree VR panoramas, and an immersive AR app for iPad. These materials speak with one voice, touting the revitalization of this iconic building as it looks to “Be Seen In a New Light.”
